Rebecca Scott

Becca is an experienced Midwife, Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) and Practice Teacher, is the NE LMS Public Health Prevention Lead and Clinical Lead for the North East and North Cumbria Perinatal Mental Health Network.  As part of her role she coordinates the provision, consistency, standards and development of public health initiatives across maternity services in the North East of England.  Current portfolio of work includes tobacco dependency and alcohol use in pregnancy, immunisations, perinatal mental health, breastfeeding, maternal healthy weight and making every contact count.  Becca who champions public health work has had previous experience in leading and supporting projects such as multi-agency colocation, unintentional injuries and care of military families.  Following a passion for service improvements in healthcare, Becca undertook and published primary research and is keen to promote developments in the North East.
